Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after the free trial?
The extension will stop autofilling credentials. However, all your data remains fully accessible through the Teampass web interface. Nothing is lost or locked.

How are users counted?
Users are counted based on the number of unique accounts that have used the browser extension during each month.

Why doesn't the extension capture or autofill credentials on every website?
Some websites use non-standard form structures, single-page application frameworks, or dynamically injected fields that the extension cannot reliably detect — in those cases, autofill and capture can be triggered manually from the extension popup.

Can we upgrade our pack during the year?
Yes, you can move to a higher tier at any time. The amount already paid will be deducted on a pro-rata basis.

Why is the extension a paid product?
Developing and maintaining browser extensions across multiple browsers requires continuous effort and resources. By subscribing to a license, you directly support the long-term sustainability of the Teampass open-source project.
